Someone should probably make a list of important software for those who don’t want to install the full desktop

• konsole
• dolphin
• kscreen - Display configuration in the System Settings panel
• ksnip - ksnip the cross-platform screenshot and annotation tool
• kamera - KDE integration for gphoto2 cameras (Cannon EOS M3)
• kommit - Git gui client for KDE
• kim6 - KIM6 (KDE Image Manipulator) for Plasma 6, Context menu for resize etc

Not strictly a KDE package

• networkd-notify-git - Desktop notification integration for systemd-networkd

How to turn off the trash bin for induvidual drives:

• edit .config/ktrashrc
  • Setting the following LimitReachedAction=1, Percent=0, UseSizeLimit=true will prompt for deletion instead of moving to thrash because the file is bigger then the set quota.

Konsole

Alt-o shortcut is hijacked by KDE/Konsole making it unavailable in the terminal for something like mc

Notifications

In a multi monitor setup, you can disable notifications on the monitors you don’t want them to appear on with the following:

• On the monitors where you do not want the notifications, click on the ^ arrow in the system tray (Status and Notifications popup)
• select configure icon in the top right
• select entries on the left
• select Notification from the list under System Services or just search
• Change Show when relevant to Disabled
